Sleep Disorders

Sleep Disorders - Habitual Snoring Is One Of The Most Annoying Sleep Disorder.

Sleep Disorders

Sleep Disorders. If you have sleep apnea your breathing stops briefly during sleep, usually due to soft tissue in the back of the throat collapses and blocks the airway. When this happens the amount of oxygen in your blood decreases, causing your brain to wake you up enough so you can tighten the muscles of the upper airway and open your throat.

Sleep Disorders. The awakened frequently you experience keep you from reaching, deeper more restorative stages of sleep and can have many negative side effects, such as depression, irritability, morning headaches, loss of interest in sex, the release of stress hormones, increased risk of heart attack and stroke, high blood pressure, and difficulty concentrating, learning, and remembering. Although it is very common for people who suffer from sleep apnea snore loudly and frequently, not everyone who snores has this disorder.

Sleep Disorders. By the way, snoring is one of the most annoying sleep disorders as well as prevent those around you from having a restful night. It is also the most common sleep problem, the survey revealed that about one-half of all adults snore. This usually becausewhen you sleep relaxes the throat and soft tissue, narrowing the airways and air turbulence created when you breathe in Allergies, sinus problems, and have a long alcohol before bed can also promote snoring.

Sleep Disorders. The more, the occurrence of snoring or sleep disorders were found to be directly related to the amount of airborne particles / chemicals present in the air.

As recently as March 2012, there was a study conducted by the American Research Corporation Innovative with people who have COPD, testing to see if the reduce / eliminate indoor air pollutants has an effect on sleep. The results showed conclusively that the test subjects had air cleaning systems in the region have relatively good sleep or sleep better and have less breathing problems the next day. Similar results have been found associated with snoring. By cleaning up air pollution at home, there is less irritation of tissue in the airway, which reduce inflammation and allow the airway more open (without touching the tissue while the air goes through, which is what causes the snoring sound).

Another reason for sleep disturbances may be rapid eye movement (REM) in the elderly, there may be some circulating hormones.

They often take longer to fall asleep (sleep latency increases) and spend less time in deeper sleep, which is an important process in the body repair itself.

Often there is a shift body clock, causing parents to go to bed early at night and wake up very early in the morning. This often leads to nap during the day, which continues to disrupt the sleep cycle. For seniors who suffer with Alzheimer's disease, this could mean difficulty in distinguishing between day and night, causing more problems with sleep.

Those who have trouble sleeping are often reluctant to talk to a family member or their doctor, because they may feel that it is because of their age or do not want to be a nuisance '. However, sleep problems can arise through the side effects of drugs and dosage adjustment is necessary for the treatment of patients, or even prescription medication alternatives.
